Business Development Representative
Who we are and what we’re looking for:
i2Verify is currently looking for a motivated, proactive aspiring sales professional to join our growing sales team as a Business Development Representative (BDR) to help us capitalize on the market demand for a new take on an old industry.
Every day we talk to HR and payroll teams who are looking for a new way to serve their employees and be more efficient in their processes. We’re looking for someone to stand on the front line of those conversations.
As a sales development representative, you will focus on driving revenue growth by generating new business opportunities to support the sales funnel. This role will manage a high volume of inbound and outbound leads across a variety of industries by leveraging phone and email prospecting skills along with product and industry knowledge.
This position is an entry point for ambitious and results oriented individuals that can lead to a prosperous career path in sales, account management, marketing, or business development.
What you’ll be doing:
BDRs at i2Verify manage the early stages of the sales process by discovering new business opportunities from lead generation through qualification while helping prospects discover the appropriate resources for their business challenges, and generating new pipeline for i2Verify’s sales team.
This will be accomplished by engaging with potential prospects over the phone and with written communication as well as navigating through large complex accounts to identify and engage with the right decision makers. You will qualify prospects needs and professionally articulate i2Verify’s value proposition. Don’t worry, you won’t be alone. You’ll work closely and collaboratively with marketing and directly with our CEO to develop and implement appropriate prospecting strategies that help you exceed monthly metrics goals (meetings, qualified opportunity leads, pipeline).
A great candidate has:
- 0-2 years in a sales related role, this could be retail, outbound, we're open!
- Extremely detail-oriented with strong time management and prioritization skills.
- A strong desire to build sales skills and advance your sales career.
- High aptitude for learning new technologies.
- Exceptional verbal communication and objection handling skills.
- Flexible, reliable, results-oriented and self-motivated to meet and exceed goals
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong interpersonal skills (friendly, outgoing personality, not afraid to talk to strangers!)
- Strong computer and Internet skills.
Where you’ll work:
You’ll be working from our office in downtown Newburyport, MA. We’re central to great lunch spots, parks for frisbee breaks in the summer, ample parking, and the office is dog friendly!
